Huge Facebook response to heartless Virgin Media bill

Tech-Culture writes: When a family member passes away it is an emotional time with lots to sort out such as funeral arrangements. The last thing you would want to see is a charge from an Internet service provider due to late bill payment especially given the fact that the bill clearly shows that the payer has in fact passed away - sadly that's exactly what one Facebook user shared with the world when he uploaded a photo to the popular social networking website.

Virgin Media only stopped the bill and made that donation only to save their image not because they wanted to do the right thing... If they didn't they could lose customers for being heartless bastards.

they need to have a red flag raise in the system when it identifies that someone has passed on. instead of just labeling it on the bill they need to have it kicked out to a person so they can do whatever needs to be done rather than just let the automated system carry on like its business as usual.
