I'm still trying to find a reason why I should ditch my 4S for an Android phone, but even these kind of articles aren't selling me. Most of the things they've just described are either just small conveniences that aren't game breakers or the iPhone can already do them. I think for newer customers Android is a great option but for those that already have an iPhone, I wouldn't go switching over completely if things actually work for you.

Think i'm going to stick with my iPhone for a while now - it's fast, does everything I need it to do, and iOS 6 beta is currently running great!

Guys the article is basically meant for newbies. After using both the iPhone 4S and One X, I found Android platform to be more useful and to be something which users might prefer. I know how good iOS is but what I wanted to clear here was that Android is not that bad as some people might consider it. In fact it wins over the iOS at certain places.
I'm not saying to leave iOS. What I'm saying is that one should have a go with both the platforms and the choose accordingly. I did this and found Android better than the iOS so went for it. Others might have done the opposite. So, article is just meant to point at some of the reasons for which I chose Android.

All the reasons of owning an ios device over an Android have slowly (if not already) disappeared. Now it's a matter of opinion as opposed to what is actually a better overall product. The original iphone was miles ahead of the competition, heck, even the last iteration iphone was arguably ahead (as an overall premium product). They dictated the flow of the market. Piecing together the right technology into achieving an overall balanced device.

However the Korean and Japanese electronical giants that contributed to the technology of the iphone are now in search for the success of their American business partner. Hence, better competition. Although I now prefer using Android ICS over iOS which to me iOS is lagging in features, I will remain agnostic until the iphone 5 is released. Only then can we sum up a fair and equal comparison between HTC one X vs Iphone 5 device running the latest Jelly Bean and iOS 6.

Pretty solid reasons to buy all smartphones, but I think I'll stick with my windows phone. Never thought I'd say that, but it's really great.

I've been a die hard apple fan since day one! It's all about preference. Iv grown accustom to having the iPhone. They both have their ups and downs. I must admit that the android is better in its on way. I like the freedom without having to jailbreak your phone with android. I like iPhone's simplicity and design. We'll see what happens when the iPhone 5 comes out. We'll see if android is better then. Smile.

Prefer USB mass storage to using a software to sync content with the phone.. That'd be my main reason for staying away from apple..

I'm just happy with the control Apple has over the iOS. I worked with Linux and after years there were too many flavors to keep it interesting for me, now I'm afraid the same will happen with Android (how many versions are active today ?).
