It would be nice for wp to have it but what's app is a far better app to use Imo.
Good to see a Lumina device on there. I have a 925 and for me its one of the best phones I've ever used and the camera is amazing on it.
But I now think that all smart phones are about the same now a days as they do more or less the same things and all work fast ect. I think anyone who got any of theses phones on this list will be happy with the phone they picked.
The metro ui is not forced. You dont have to use any metro apps or even the start screen. There are plenty of replacement start menus on the market. But if I'm honest I've found my self using more and more metro apps on my work laptop now there are good tools like vnc, remote desktop etc and the new multi tasking.
For me windows 8 new start screen is far better than the start menu as you can pin any thing to it and set it how you want where you could not do this with...
@pandehz I have to agree. I want out and got a Xoom on day one after deciding I wanted more form a tablet and gave my other half my Ipad but I still found my self having to power up my laptop to do some quite simple things like print off my pdf files from my Amazon Account.

The biggest issue with how they measure the tablet market is that they don't count tablets with a dock or keyboard so the number eel be higher than 5% but I would expect this to rise quickly with the new tablets that are coming out as we are now starting to see more windows 8 tablets in ships at a resizable prices and windows 8.1 is a big step up from 8.0.
I really don't see what peoples issue is with the new start screen. The old one was a bit of a mess for none touch screen devices because of how big the icons are but now they have small icons o really don't see why people have an issue with it.

Good to see Windows Phone making steps in the market and nice to see the apple bubble pop. I don't hate Apple just bored with the thinner, Faster same old same old by apple and I hope this forces them to change there ways.
Ya the same for me as it has the games I want at the moment and also offers me the services I use the most in my home and out of home life.

Well to me this is time for Microsoft and Nokia to market the hell out the Surface 2 and the Lumia Tablet as they are priced better and will do more than the Ipad to. I really do think Apple are starting to struggle with where they want to take there product lines and are in need of a big change.

@LordDhampire I have to disagree about Windows RT being Gimped. I have the Surface RT and it has its place in the tablet market. RT is the OS for Home users who don't need a I5 or more processor and just want to look at things like Facebook emails and edit office documents ect. RT is Microsoft's OS to go up against IOS and Android and for me it beast them both hands down. I can also be used as a work pc as it offers VPN, Mouse and Keyboard, Desktop IE ect.

I have a feeling come next year PC sales will start to go up as companys look to upgrade there Windows XP pc's to 7 and 8. I know we are now working with all our customers to make sure they are all on supported software. Plus the market is now picking up in the Business side too so pc sales will start to rise as company's look to upgrade there equipment too. I don't think the Home side of pc's will start to grow though but I do think sales of tablets that can be pc's like ...

I used Hotmail went to Gmail but now moved to Outlook and for me its been the best service ive used so far. Fast easy on the eye and due to now having Windows 8 and Windows Phone it fits in well with my systems. But both have + and - Points.

Cell989 no one has ever said apple don't make quality products they always have. There is a big difference between quick office and Ms office. I had a xoom the day it came out and had quick office installed but it was no use to me it could not do the Jobs I wanted it to and was to light weight so for me im happy to pay for a product that can do the jobs I want it to. For me there are to many people in this world that want things for free and even complain about free things not being good enough.
I wonder how many people now use the fb main web site. I never log into it and update my fb status and pictures through twitter on my windows phone which pushes to Facebook.
Alot of people have them because of the times. I work in it and when XP came out the economy was booming but now people are trying to save money. A lot of our small we customers have run there XP pc's until they have broken and been forced to upgrade but now the economy is picking up and XP is being dropped by Microsoft companys are looking to upgrade.
