Tbh it depends what you use it for. For me I use big most of the time as I work in it and I use mainly Microsoft products. Have a sony xz premium but disabled Google now and use cortana as i prefer how it syncs with my PC at home and work but also use Outlook instead of the Google or built in mail clients due to the ease of syncing them with both my one drive and one drive for business.

Google is a big brand name now and most people think Google is the Internet.

I think the question should be is the iPad still relevant for me not at all.

Zerg so who sells phones for the rich?

2473d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

No this is interesting. I am due an upgrade in sept. So far the Sony xz premium is my phone of choice as LG g6 only has 32bg memory, HTC u11 has no headphone jack and not a massive fan of the front look and I don't like the galaxy phones. If Nokia can pull something off that hits what the other are missing I will look to pick it up

That's the world we live in. The UK is just giving Ireland 1billon pounds for a party to join the conservative party to help run the UK yet our NHS and a lot more are under funded and they say they can't find the cash. The world we live in works the wrong way round.

Interesting I like how each company is doing different things this time round. Ok this is like an iPhone but we have choices HTC u looks great gets good reviews the same as the LG g6 and the galaxy 8 and the new Sony looks good to but all looking at different things. I'm going to struggle to pick one come September when I'm sure an upgrade.

Yeah that's true. I have an lgg5 and see no reason to upgrade this year the 3 devices I said above look great but it's not a massive jump from my g5 so I'm waiting another 12 or more months

This year will be interesting and Android has 3 great phones already announced for it in the s8, LG G6 and the HTC U but the phone market has become stale and with that not to many options people are also not really moving around or upgrading like they did in the past.

Your right but its also people don't like change. My other half has always used iphones and she dropped it and broke it. I gave her my Windows Mobile to use until she got a new phone as said she loved the luck of the os but because it was different to IOS she wanted an iPhone. She then picked up a LG G5 as I got one and liked the look of it and it came in rose gold. After 6 months she went back to the iPhone because it was more simple to use even though the g5 did more and had a better ca...

Do people really need this device? If you want an easy to use tablet grab an iPad I don't like them but they are easy to use. If you want a tablet to use as a laptop replacement the surface pro is the way to go the iPad pro is just as useless as an apple watch imo.

People seem to forget that the battery is not made by Samsung and if you trace it back to the company why did make them for the note you will find most phone manufacturers use their batteries so it could happen to any phone out there.

Zerg I think your wrong there once a IT company reaches the top they come back down again and in the next 10 years I see Microsoft and Google over taking them as they have fingers in many areas where Apple are only in 3.

Every os has a virus. Android iOS Windows mac os linux and more. Its always going to be around its as simple as that. The reason why windows has the most is because it's the most used OS and been around the longest to.

That said I do have more issues with malware than a virus in my job but I do still see virus outbreaks from none careful users.

I love how the media is making a big thing about Samsung's Iris Scanner my Lumia 950XL has had this since it came out but because it was an MS Phone it was knocked on the head by the media. Even the Surface 4 has it.

Your spot on. I work in IT and we only deal with Windows but e often have customers say the have got a mac and want to use it on the network and emails ect.
This is not an issue but I do find it funny that they cant use the OS and also how they don't get half the software they use dose not work on a mac and also have to buy a new version of software that they already have on their pc.
The one shift I have noticed though is a lot of users are moving from mac's and la...

A lot of people who don't follow Windows phone see this as the death of WM but I think its far from it.
I think this is the start of the end of the Lumia line for Microsoft and next year we will see the Surface Phone. We have he new HP phone out in the next few months and they have got a continuum dock and also a Laptop shell like the NexDock but with USB C.
Looking at what MS have done with the Surface I see them doing something out the box with the Surface phone. Maybe...

I am with you on this one. For example. If I pay Netflix to use their services why should I pay apple to use the Netflix app on my phone? Its the same with my Xbox music pass I pay for. Why should I pay Apple to use the app on this phone to? I don't see that working at all.

PayPal have also come out and said they are making a Windows 10 app for both Windows 10 and Windows Mobile 10.

Microsoft are a company that under Satya Nadella want to offer their services on all devices not just Windows unlike Apple and Google.

I am not saying Microsoft are going to be big in the phone world as smart phones are now about to change anyway but as for making an Android Phone MS have never said they are going to do this. Nokia are doing t...

Microsoft are not making an Android Phone. Microsoft are changing the plan for Windows Mobile. They are pulling back on making phones for everyone and looking at making phones targeted at Business. If you look at the Lumia 950XL it is a great phone in terms of specs to what is on the market now/at the time it came out. But what will be the selling point of Windows Phone over IOS and Android is continuum. This side of the phone is the next step in how desktops/laptops/tablets will go. It enabl...

I have a Lumia with a Continuum adaptor which for new tech/OS works amazing and if the app developers start to back it you can really see how PC/Phones/tablets will go. The only issue I was thinking is the continuum adaptor was great for having on a desk but not for travel as you need a screen ect but something like this will open it to a new world and if more people get behind it and Intel get x32 processors working in phones this could change the mobile space in a big way.
