Starting This Week, You Can Help Build a Better Map of Light Pollution

PopSci: "During the next two weeks, you can help build a map of global light pollution, assisting scientists and astronomers as they monitor the loss of virgin night skies. You just have to look at the stars and write down what you see — or, more likely, what you don’t see."

The story is too old to be commented.

im my area there is close to 0% light pollution. but when i go to the city i can barely see the moon sometimes.

some lights in nyc are so bright it can look like day time at night and it makes you feel safe yet uneasy.
