Available in iOS and Android, Periscope is a live streaming application that lets you watch real-time transmissions made by other users of Periscope and submit their own videos. The user has the capability of showing other user places, interesting things, and events.

Promoted by the same company and located behind the network of Twitter, Periscope quickly gained popularity because of the way it allows users to watch and share videos using your mobile phone. Compared to YouTube, Periscope not offer ready-made collections of videos, which users can give Like or leave comments. Instead, the creators of video streams can interact in real time with their audiences using instant messaging. Once completed, the sessions are kept for live streaming in Periscope servers only for 24 hours, but the app can copy recordings to the device memory or start retransmission in a new live-stream session.
