Engadget - Chalk up another one: in sync with Sprint and T-Mobile, US Cellular has joined the ranks of US carriers detailing their Galaxy S 4 launch plans. The mid-size provider won't commit to a more specific timeframe for its launch beyond "late April," but it's already taking pre-orders for a 16GB edition at $200 with a contract and a steep $750 contract-free.
The Samsung settlement is for just under $14 million dollars, but only $2.8 million is actually going to consumers.
The Galaxy S4, in its day, was a pretty capable smartphone. However, with its fourth birthday fast approaching, its update period has long since passed.
Sprint and US Cellular are the final holdouts among the top five US wireless carriers who are now finally taking pre-orders for the LG V20 smartphone. They join AT&T, T-M0bile and Verizon Wireless who have already begun taking order for the Android 7.0 Nougat smartphone.
