TheVerge - The more Windows 8 devices I review, the more refined my idea of a perfect Windows PC becomes. A convertible device (a tablet and dock) makes the most sense for me, but I need full-blown Windows 8, not Windows RT and its lack of app support. I’ve found that 13 inches is too big, and 10 is too small — if you’re looking for the “one device to rule them all,” 11.6 inches is the only useful size.
HP has announced the ENVY x2 and it looks a lot like a Surface Pro 3 but it does have a larger display. Everything from the kickstand to the cover mimics that of the Surface Pro 3, although the 15.6in display is quite a bit larger than what Microsoft has put in its device.
Techprezz: These are HP’s first computers to feature Intel’s low-power Core M Broadwell processors which turn out to be 2-in-1 tablets.
ges-sa.com | "100% notebook, 100% tablet, 100% both. This is the slogan for the Envy X2, ever thought of how awesome it would be if your notebook and tablet was the same device? Well the time is here where that is possible.
We are living in a fantastic time for technology, where we see different types of technology coming together to give us the ability to be able to connect and interact with the digital almost everywhere and at any time. The Envy X2 was one of the first laptops launched in this new category called “Detachables” these are laptops where the screen can be completely detached from the rest of the laptop to work like a tablet."
