Tech Corner Says:
In a few words Apple just got served. Yesterday, October 23, 2012, Apple was dealt a huge blow by the USPTO. After reexamination of Apple’s “bounce back” 381 patent, the USPTO found that patent invalid because of prior art. The prior art showed that the idea was not original and that Apple did not invent this idea, they just patented it. The prior art dates back to October 2, 2003 in which AOL’s Luigi Lira was granted a “controlling content display” patent with the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT).
