By money to burn, you do know a high end iphone is $100+ more than a note 3 right? Apple products in general are always a good 25-50% more, so your money to burn comment was quite ironic. No memory cards and the high price is what really irks me about apple.
Increasing the screen from 4.5 by 1 inch really is only slighty noticeable. I mean its really not night and day like some try to make it out to be. I do agree with your watch take though.
Fyi my 9 year old kid puts my Note 2, 5.5" screen and it fits fine into his front jean pocket. So I dont really buy that false excuse about them not fitting into pocket. I like it for games, movies, and def the stylus pen.
Its all personal preference. A guy at my work has an old flip phone and anything more, he finds excessive. To each thier own I guess.
Cell cameras are worthless at those resolutions. The lense is way to small capture the correct amount of light and contrast in colors. I see same quad processor (which zero software is exploiting, lucky to find some games that even use the power of dual core) and samsung software. So I revert back to my original point.

I don't get the point of an S4 tbh. Just upgrade to a Note 2. Screen is .5" bigger, u get a bigger battery, and a optional stylus pen to use. Otherwise exact same phone.

raw speed isn't everything. its part of why intel has been, by a wide margain, been outperforming amd for years now on the medium-high end cpu's.

Id be real surprised if iphones were ever number 1 again. They cost 2-3x more, you get dated hardware (by android specs), cant change the battery (wtf is that?), you aren't allowed to use memory cards, and a small screen=no ty.
In either case, they def have found their niche of buyers willing to overpay for them. The ios marketplace does have a ton of great games on it, but most of the same ones are on android nowadays, so meh.

Id say it would hard to to imagine how consoles wont vastly help AMD. However, the devil is in the details. Meaning that if amd is selling each gpu for pennies on the dollar type of profits, the benefit may only be marginal.
I think software is several years ahead of hardware (maybe partially do to consoles stalling using dx9). Dx11 is going to be the standard in sony and ms next gen consoles. And I think dx11 will be much more fully used/optimized by pc's. Mind u dx11 was released a few years ago. There wouldn't be much point to releasing dx12 for at least another 5 years since it wouldnt even be used.

Theres never been a chinese brand thats ever been good or powerful. Its all cheap and low quality.
I stick with asus laptops for the price and decent quality. My next purchase might be a Malibal laptop (based off sager/clevo). More expensive but higher quality and you can upgrade the graphics cards on them.
