Neat! And we all know that Comcast and Time Warner have 100/100 lines to Washington DC.
Thank you, Google.
This is just a power play from Comcast, Time Warner and "all the world's worst actors" as Mitt Romney might have said. Net neutrality does nothing to make it more difficult to expand networks. It does, however, keep a level playing field for big and small Internet business. Like we've always had.
Thanks for making me lose faith in humanity.
A drone crashed on the White House lawn--an absolutely huge area, and you honestly think that:
A) Snipers would have taken it down
B) Since they didn't, there's a conspiracy to illegalize civilian use of drones.
A is so ridiculous, it's hard to even express why.
B is among the silliest conspiracies I've ever heard. If they wanted to ban drones, why not just make a case for...
Than a network going down every now and then?
Well, North Korea.
Competition law! Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo !
Here's my list:
Exxon
Every bank ever
Wal-mart
Google
Apple
Chevron
Phillips 66
AT&T
Comcast
Koch
And probably some Chinese companies and OPEC (not really a company, but still). Not that anyone has any authority over that.
EDIT
Oh, my God. I almost forgot about Nestle.
It seems unbelievably safe to assume that you don't know how China works, then. It's not like companies don't play by US rules when they go there. Look up Norwegian Air Shuttle for a recent reference.
I say we get this antitrust party going and take it all the way to the states!
Little early to call, isn't it?
The first year has been a bit meh in my opinion. Next year, however, looks so good my head would explode if I even began to understand what I'm talking about.
Yeah, I know.
Turning the GoP into a political political party is tempting, but ill-advised.
No, I jest. Or?
I didn't even know the GoP was considered a virus. No, I jest. Or?
Does it? It's a school for executives, not for child workers.
Anyway, if it's supposed to teach people to think like Steve Jobs, does that mean that the exam is dropping out?
Hehe. Earth passed on him, more like.
I am an idiot to mix those two up. I'm sorry, you're right. I actually know all 197 Sporcle-accepted countries, I swear. :)
No sources on quotes, ditto the postulated facts, and the conclusions are drawn by someone with no credibility on the matter. Also, the language is atrocious, which never bodes well for a website.
How on earth did this pass quality control?
Man, I would love to go to Dubai. Maybe I could free some of the slaves or sabotage the plans for the 2022 world cup.
Who knew human stupidity was profitable? Everyone, I think.
"So if you dont care... that means no one should have it.. lol.."
Eh. When did I even imply that? I just said that no one cares enough about privacy to do what Snowden says, namely drop Google, Facebook and Dropbox. I'm not denying anyone the opportunity to delete their accounts.
I mean, I'm sure that strictly speaking SOMEONE out there cares that much, but seeing how Google and Facebook continues to be the top two websites, and Dropbox one ...
I hear that. GamerGate has become such a mess, you can't assume a position on any side without having idiots branding you as either a misogynistic nerd or a "white knight".
It's also a shame that the "gamer-side" has been overrun by conspiracy theorists, who honestly think people would fake death threats against themselves for attention. Even people who think the moon landing was fake have higher standards for evidence. It's a real shame, beca...
I think we need a more nuanced assessment of what kind of data companies and governments should be allowed to gather. This isn't an easy issue and it's not going to be solved by clinging to a rigid principle.
Btw, I'm not actually getting any disagrees. I just faked them to get attention.
If a city provides free Internet, then the ISPs will be forced to provide considerably better service for a reasonable price. A public option is monopoly-breaking 101.
I mean, if we were really serious about exposing Comcast and Time Warner to competition we could use antitrust law to break them up like in the good ol' Sherman Oil days, but since Congress is in the pockets of these people, I don't see that ever happening.
This is a very good idea. Thi...
