Gadgehit.com writes: "Microsoft has announced that it will be releasing an early preview version of Windows 8 in the beginning of June. The Windows 8 Release Preview, as it will be known, will be available in the first week of June according to Microsoft President Steven Sinofsky. Sinofsky made the announcement at a Windows 8 Dev Days event in Japan this week."
The cloud storage platform will drop support for older versions of Windows in early 2022.
Microsoft responded with Windows 8 and its Surface RT tablet.
In the earliest days of the Surface, it was hard to shake the notion that the line was something of a reference design for Windows 8.
