Debian 6.0 “Squeeze” Finally Released

After two years in development, Debian 6.0, codenamded “Squeeze”, is finally here. Starting with Debian 6.0 it is no longer just a “Linux distribution”. Debian 6.0 is possible to install using the BSD kernel instead of the standard Linux kernel. Alongside Debian GNU/Linux, Debian GNU/kFreeBSD is introduced with this version as a “technology preview”.
