Steve Wozniak: The iPhone 6 is three years too late

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak thinks Tim Cook & Co should have made a giant iPhone much sooner.
"Apple could have had a much bigger share of the smartphone market if it had a larger-screen iPhone for the past three years," Wozniak told CNNMoney from Capital One's new Innovation Center in Plano, Texas. "It could have competed better with Samsung."

Maybe but not everyone has pockets that can carry huge smartphone nor wish too.
The larger they get more they look like a mini tablet than an actual smart phone

Lol the official apple line until their latest lineup was that the samsung phones were way too big for peoples hands. Its a good thing that peoples hands have grown much larger in time for the iphone 6+ launch.

Customers demanded it, and despite "Apples" opinion, they responded to the market and gave you a large Iphone. Your upset they listened to customers?

I still think these large phones are only good as media devices... As a companion device, the 5S and the 4 inch screen range was the sweetspot imo

Bigger phone same crap battery with a higher price tag....

ArtificiallyYours3451d ago

Why can't Apple make an affordable device that can compete with Motorola and Microsoft's budget line?

How goddamn hard is it to release another 'C' model that isn't seven hundred off contract? It doesn't have to set the world on fire, but a killer Bargain-Range price tag should not be restricted to a five year old iPhone.

Without Jobs... Wozniak isn't relevant.

Reality is that was the other way around. Jobs stood on Wozniak's shoulders to elevate himself.

Sometimes Apple loses sight of what they think consumers want versus what we really want.

I was on the fence about the Iphone8 or the new Samsung but that new Galaxy is looking damn good right now... peace apple!

MaxedOutGamer2317d ago

This is more Apple BS. When Apple launches a phone, they try to get as much sales as possible, even at the expense of their own customer base. A new iphone is released and suddenly your phone starts working like crap, obviously it makes the new iphone more appealing. They've been doing this since the original iphone. Funny how this isn't a problem for any other phone manufacturer.

I think it's more that continually evolving software updates bloat and eventually render the device sluggish. New code is written to take advantage of new hardware, at the expense of owners of the older models.

KingPin2316d ago

so then why even bother updating the older hardware if thats the case. i mean, its not like the older OS is not safe or unstable so why the need to update it. everything works just fine as is. ever heard if it aint broke.....
