You can now watch Blu-ray 3D movies on your PlayStation 4

Before the newest, shiniest consoles launched late last year, it was the Xbox One that was touted as the complete multimedia machine. It's slightly ironic, then, that Sony's beaten Microsoft to the punch in adding Blu-ray 3D support to the PlayStation 4. Last week, we heard the feature was being added in software version 1.75, and today that update's begun rolling out to PS4s. There are still a few things, like DLNA support, the PS4 needs to usurp other A/V gear in your entertainment center, but on the matter of Blu-ray 3D at least, the Xbone's now playing catch-up. I Think Sony is just trying to keep the PS3 relevant until the end of its life cycle. If the PS4 had all the features of the PS3 a lot of ppl would not use it anymore which would result in lost revenue. I think if Sony wasn't in such a hard financial bind this kind of stuff wouldn't happen. I think this is a calculated business decision to maximize revenue. Sadly I don't think we we se all the features on the PS4 till the end of the PS3 life cycle. IMHO.

No... I had 3D Blu-Ray Support on my X1 2 weeks before Ps4 release. I'm in the Xbox Beta Program got it once they announced it. Still waiting to see if I can make the EA Access beta.
