Bloomberg: Roku Inc., the maker of set-top boxes that connect TVs to the Internet, is weighing an initial public offering in the U.S. this year, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
Roku has finally introduced its new lineup of wireless speakers. The speakers are part of a new wireless audio platform called Roku Connect that was first introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January. The company hopes to license the technology to its manufacturing partners such as TCL and Element.
The new Shield 4K Pro is more than twice the price of Roku's high-end Ultra 4kHDR set-top box. Android TV, Google Home, and hard drive space alone makes it more than worth it even without a Kodi server.
The 50-inch P-series model starts at a reasonable $500.
