Maximum PC: The first pictures of Valve’s prototype Steam Machine are surprising to say the least. With a chassis that’s absolutely miniscule—for a system with a GTX Titan and standard desktop processor—it seems that Valve has been busy designing a custom case with a plastic shroud that ensures that each component in the machine is separate from the rest.
What is better Ryzen or Intel? Choosing a processor for a PC can be a daunting task, especially if you're new to computing.
The ThinkStation P360 Ultra is a tiny beast.
That wouldn't look too shabby in a home theater rack. Kind of resembles a DirecTV DVR box.
When I built mine about a year and a half ago. I used the SilverStone GD04 HTPC case ( http://www.silverstonetek.c...
It had the near exact dimensions of my AV Receiver and still to this day newer people to my house have no idea where my computer is I am controlling as it looks just like high end AV equipment.
That thing is my life blood too. I have a Radeon 6970 in there for gaming and 4TB of HDD space for my Sickbeard/Couchpotato/SABnzbd setup for all my TV and Movie needs.
I actually cancelled my DirecTV and haven't missed a single show I like as I get them minutes after they finish airing on the East Coast. So about the same time they would be airing here in the west anyway.
Plus my consoles have been collecting dust as I have moved to Steam almost exclusively, and I have the Wireless adapter so I can just use my 360 controller on most games anyway. The thing really changed the way me and my family consume media.
That is the only problem I see with the Steam machines. Great for Gamers and a start to get PC's in the living room. But Total HTPC's are still far out of sight to most non-tech consumers which is a shame.
Thing looks great though. Wonder how the noise is.
