Still waiting for Windows 9 to arrive.

Downloading it right now :) I don't understand the hate for windows 8. It's better than windows 7 mainly in performance. I guess people don't like the new UI but they should give it some time. You'll eventually begin to like it.

I'm confused as well. I was definitely skeptical at first but the huge improvements in memory management are nothing to scoff at in windows 8 as a huge update from windows 7.

we know if this was made by APPLE, the world would have loved it.. microsoft lost that mojo, and it's on the edge right now. Windows 8 is an amazing OS that is getting flak for UI design. The improvements are under the hood, and this update may bring/convince some customers

Apple creates way better software than MS.

I loved windows 8 but I am disliking 8.1. The start button feels like such a step down. People really need to learn how to use the UI. It is like they do not understand that all they have to do is type to get wherever they want.

You dislike 8.1 because they added a visual icon for something that does the same thing in windows 8??

@aviator Exactly. I feel like accessing the metro was already common sense in windows 8. Why add a start menu? It only adds to the clutter. All you have to do in windows 8 is click the lower left corner or press the window key. Is that so hard? That annoys me.
