This is definitely a great phone, i'm changing my current Bold 9900 later this month & i doubt that this'll be out by then.

I guess iPhone 5 it is then. I've never had an iPhone.

iOS has the better store, and usually better phone design, but i got used to the bigger - and now even better - Android screens, also using my Note as mobile drive thanks to expandable memory and simple file transfers.

after the lame line of phones since fully controlling SE, looks like Sony is finally getting it, the Xperia Z is hitting all the right notes:

Small footprint
great design and premium build
top of the line processor
soft OS skin
great Camera
best screen quality(441ppi+1080P)

I agree with you. I got used to big screen phones and don't see myself going smaller than 5' now. This phone looks amazing though and the quality looks really elegant and fresh. Might get it for my Verizon contract. I'm still curious to see how the galaxy s4 and note 3 come out after seeing the bendable display concepts at CES. It's just amazing how apple has lost so much ground lately. They need to step it up and innovate.

Yea this is how a phone should be built. I would take this any day over a Samsung phone! Samsung is a good phone but the build quality isn't than astounding. I like all the things Sony put into this phone like the guy above me stated. He didn't mention its also water proof, dust proof, has Bravia Engine 2, and a 13MP camera with the worlds first HDR video recording.

Tough as metal
How solid does a precision engineered smartphone need to be? How about as solid as a car? Xperia Z’s frame is made from glass fiber polyamide, the same material that’s used as a metal substitute in automobile parts.

Durable glass
The durable tempered glass on front and back is a lot stronger than conventional glass. And with anti-shatter film on the front and back, Xperia Z is anything but fragile.

Sounds like I will definitely leave my iphone 5 behind and get this phone!

also "stamina mode" is a nice touch, i don't have to go to settings and manually shut down apps every few minutes, Google should make it standard in the next OS update.

anyone knows if this phone has a removable battery?

thats the one thing turning me away from the HTC range and the LG optimus G. i know it sounds like a lame reason, but i with the poor battery performance <average to the normal user, with the way i use my phone its poor> i normally keep a secondary charged battery and when it dies i just slip the new one in. so doesnt matter where i am il have my phone.

with the new phones having non removable batteries, this is quite a turn off. the S3 and note 2 are great phones but they quite popular. <making me just another number in the crowd> but i suppose if all options are exhausted for the battery reason, il settle for the Note 2.

portable pocket chargers are the new way, from 1000mAh to over 10000mAh , as big as phone or as small as a lighter.

they can charge almost any portable device, iPhone, Android, tablets, PSVita, cameras..
