Such a rare random act from a top level employee. I still don't believe it. Greed runs too deep at that level. REAL DEEP.

Great, he still took home $14m. Must of been oh so hard for him to give away that $3m. He's practically broke right now. Not.

That's peanuts to this man, an easy way to fool people into thinking he is oh-so-generous. Really care about your company and employees? , pay yourself the same amount as the average worker at your company, probably 1/200th of what he earnts.

That is true, give them a little of what they want and they will become obedient.

You guys missed the boat by miles. It works out to be about $300 and change, but he didn't give it to help them out for the weekend, but to boost their morale and show that the big bosses don't have to take home everything. The action was symbolic. If you all can't see the strategy he used, well good luck following instead of leading.

I can see the strategy, my point is everyone is making him out to be a good person. This is NOT why he did it, and it doesn't make him a good person - it makes him a clever ceo.

Except fear would be a stronger motivation and cheaper to obtain .

And actually yeah it's usually harder to pry some chump money from the clutch of some fat cats . Hell the point is they never usually do , unlike this guy , whatever his motive behind it

You guys do realize, he gave the BONUS to his employees, meaning money that he got on top of his base salary and other incentives. He only brought in 5 mill as bonus... which means he gave more than half of his BONUS to his employees. I think that is still a great deed, it shows that he knows his employees are just as much a part of the success as he was. I dont see how u guys are trying to downplay that, just because he didnt give his entire salary to his employees. I mean really? Nobody expects him to do that, but it is nice that he gave the bonus to them.

well said Gold. I mean, he didn't have to give them a single penny. How many CEO's give any kind of their huge bonus out, period. even if he gave them $1. that's one dollar of his money that he didn't have to give.

So now CEO's don't earn their money.
techie11  +   331d ago
Props to the CEO of Lenovo for recognizing this and acknowledging the little people.
