I think Intel should start to look at there mobile side of the market more than the x84/64 processors as they could be in for a big shock in the Windows Market once we see the big supply of Windows 8 tablets on the market.
We will still need X86/64 for Business and Games but home and media users will start to look more that the RT side and I think this could be Intel's big down side.
Why do you refuse to buy Windows 8? I have been running it on my 3 year old work laptop for a few months now and I have to say I will never look at going back to windows 7. The new start screen works well on a none touch screen as you just pin your own apps to it and you don't need to use the Market place if you don't like the new UI as every other app you have on your old pc will work fine on Windows 8.

The surface is not a flop. It was never expected to sell like the ipad. If ms were going to push the surface like apple did with the ipad it would be in every store. The surface is about showing everyone else how a windows tablet should be.

The way i see it why would anyone want a apple device over a windows device anyway? Especially with windows 8 rt n pro and windows phone 8 being out now they offer alot more than any apple device and have the same build quality.
Wow what is it with everyone. Windows 8 can be customised to how you want it to work. So if you want the old start menu back you can download one of many start menu apps.

@Somebody Both the old and new start menu work in the same way by pinning to the start menu so why is everyone making a fuss about it the only difference is it looks different that's it.

I really do hope people start to see there are devices that now look better than the Iphone and also function better to.
For me Samsung, HTC, Nokia and Sony all offer phones that can match the Iphone for design and coolness.
Samsung and HTC make Android nice to look at and easy to use and the Lumua devices look amazing and WP8 is a different approach to the Mobile look.
That looks a lot like the old TouchWiz on the Omnia. For me the best Mobile OS out there for looks and usability is Windows Phone 8.
Be good if they can get this OS selling well as it would be good to have a lot of choice rather than just Android IOS and WP8 at the moment.
I really don't get why people are complaining about windows 8. If your a desktop/none touch user the only difference is the new start screen which is very easy to use and customise and put what you want on it and group them.
Then if your a tablet user you only use the new start screen and Market place. You will only use the desktop mode for Office.

I agree about the Sony stuff but from a Business stand point I would not touch a Sony pc/Tablet as there support is not good enough compared to Dell and HP ect.
Also I have yet to see the Sony Windows 8 tablets ect here in the UK.
I do love sony stuff though but what people need to remember that about 80% of people who buy a pc/tablet are not looking at specs as they don't know what any of them mean they are going for looks and price.

The biggest problem with Windows 8 is the hardware. I think MS should now push forward with the Surface and bring it to stores around the world as this will help sales of the OS.
The only other tablet I know that is out there at the moment is the new Samsung devices but I have yet to see one in a store.
Lenovo have a few nice loptops/ultra books out but that is it the rest as just stuck in the past.

I agree Bolts. I really don't get the stick that people are giving MS for Windows 8. For me If you want tablet/home laptop just for home use for brewing the web checking emails and some document work Windows 8 RT is by far the best option as it is an Ipad and Laptop in 1.

Yet again people fain to read what is put. I did not say ie was faster than chrome in general i said for what i use it for it is faster.
Plus bing for me has a better result in its search for what i use it for.
I also never said chrome is worse than ie again i said for me ie works better.
I use chrome on my xoom as its a good browse for my tablet but what i use my pc for ie is better than any other browser as it has less issues.
This is not true. If you go to tools and manage Add ons you can select your default search in there.
But I really don't see an issue with MS settings Bing as there default search as Chrome uses Google as its default search.
