Yes, I agree. They didn't fight this recall which is refreshing as many faced with this would have fought it, denied etc.
Maybe someday you will be able to use Linux exclusively as you would like. The problem is that Windows is so entrenched on the desktop that it is hard to persuade development on anything else, even as an add-on if not exclusively.
It is sad. What Microsoft got right, no one will know because they simply could not swing enough support with app developers. The Windows Phone OS is quite nice, especially if you are integrated with the MS software offerings on your computer.
I think with the advent of these debit cards that more people will take the time to at least check it out, if not start using it. Generally, yeah, you are right- it will largely by tech minded people that are using Bitcoin for awhile.
lol
But it is not childish when, for years, Apple and Google have done this exact same thing?
I need to put together a "layman's terms" guide to Bitcoin. Sure, criminals can use them, just like they use anything that has value such as United States dollars.
Other than people getting mad because MS is finally not playing nice with Google and Apple, there is not much to get upset about here. You don't see those same people mad because Google doesn't support Windows Phone with apps, or mad because as you said, you can't use third party browsers with other digital assistants.
I have to agree with you wholeheartedly here, castillo. I still have the same opinion of it here as I do when Google and Apple do it though- it is the end user that is hurt, not so much the corporations.
Can we just get Google and Microsoft working together like we see Apple and Google? People complain about lack of Google support on Windows Phone like it is Microsoft's fault. MS can't force Google to support Windows Phone. Maybe with UWP we could see some Google apps appear. Doubtful though.
Have you tried a Windows Phone? The operating system is rather nice, it is just a severe lack of apps/general knowledge of the phones apparently holding them back.
Very good points. I have seen television ads for Windows Phone but has been quite a while back. The last one I remember seeing was for the Lumia 1020 when it was first released. Before that I remember seeing one ad for Windows 8 promoting the camera button.
Not one type of ad, I mean literally one ad. Once each.
My question is, how many of these do we really need? How long before Best Buy, Target, Auto Zone, Domino's, etc all have their own "Pay" app?
True. Extra data for a short period is better than no extra data.
Yeah, that is why I tried to make it very clear this was not a "for the lifetime of the account" type promotion, but rather a VERY limited one.
@Joeorc True. Very good points. Still, MS has quite a hold on many a user. Is it enough to turn the tide in their favor in instances such as this, or larger ones? It is too early to tell.
Maybe they will simply lose interest due to lack of support for their products in the marketplace? Right now that is not likely to happen since they are not releasing this software (ACS) to the public or other professionals.
Good points. Still, the fact remains that MS is capable of, maybe not succeeding at, creating a closed non open source variation that could become extremely popular and usurp Linux for the mainstream market.
They are already doing a lot of "controlling" through patent protection actions.
Yea. They already show off a GBA emulator so I can only guess that possibly up to Dreamcast emulators will be supported thanks to the power of the PS4.
The REVO K101 Plus is perfect for parents that are tired of accidental overages on their phones, or having to set protective PIN's just so their kids can play. Also, no matter how good you block things on a device like Android, kids will find a way around it to get to the stuff you don't want them playing/seeing.
Since there is no Internet access on the REVO K101 Plus, you don't have to worry about any of that stuff.
Too much money in cell phones and pesticides. Too much protection from the government thanks to those companies having access to nearly endless amounts of cash to push through legislation that protects them.
