And when the iPhone 5 is released, a possible 5 different Galaxy Nexus devices will be released from 5 different manufacturers equipped with Cortex A-15 Quad Core SOC running the latest high end GPU's with 2 Gigs of Ram and a possible 1080p resolution.
In other words...
Specification wise the iPhone will never surpass Android.

Apple will be playing catch up once the Pro version of the surface takes off. Mark my words, Apple will bring out an iPad that runs a full Mac OS and call it "magical"
And the irony is...Apple is actually the one playing catch up in the mobile market to some degree with features...especially with their mobile OS for cell phones.

If the Pro model lives up to expectations and has decent battery life, I am sold and you can bet the farm Apple will release a "NEW" iPad running OSX and then call it a new invention even though they and their legions of followers bashed this idea.

The sheer fact that all of MS platforms now share very similar coding and kernels is a HUGE advantage over what the direct competition has out and or coming out.
The compatibility and transference of software ac...

You can tell by the posts here who are adults/parents and who are children/teens.
I personally think this was a very creative way to lay down the law so to speak to her daughter.
You find with this generation of teens and children they believe of entitlement and that they can disrepute and disobey their parents at a whim.

When you have no respect for authority at any level when you are young, it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that those very sa...

If this has full integration of all of Google's services (which it should) then it will kill off Drop box.

Actually what is your definition of "pro work"
Because if it is 3D rendering, programing, 3D Modeling and advanced level computations, MAC Pro's are not the computers used mostly. Not even close.
They are PC's.

MAC's are used primarily in the entertainment industry, Design industry etc...which is also interesting as all those programs and software are available on the PC platform also with the exception of After Cut Pro, and in most cas...

They are both toys at this point.
Ask yourself one question:

"What can a Tablet from Apple or Android offer to you that your Smartphone cannot with the exception of a larger viewing screen?"

It's a trick question...the answer is none.
Outside of the larger screen on a tablet, they offer NOTHING different than your Smartphone.

"What about the Eco-System ? By the time Win8 tabs launch, iOS will probably have nearly 300K dedicated tablet apps!!"

" I feel we are in for some huge updates with iOS ( at least on the iPad becoming more and more like OS X)."

Guess where Apple is stealing that idea from? And MS will have that idea out well before Apple does. That happens in October November with Windows 8.
IOS 6 will not be fully compatible with their mobile var...

One thing Win tablets will have over the ipad is the fact that ANY Win tablet running X86 mobile chipsets or otherwise will be full compatible with Windows 8 desktop software.
So you will be able to run ACTUAL programs and not just APPS as they are now on the ipad and android tablets.

The reader who pointed this out to me wrote “In short, the intern got it wrong.” I don’t think it’s so cut and dried. I’ll try to summarize what Hackborn wrote: 1) It’s true that Android lacks a real-time thread just for screen rendering like iOS, says Hackborn. 2...

Actually Windows Phones Are a lot better optimized.
I had a windows phone and now I have the Nexus.

When running day to day simple operations, Windows Phone 7 operating system runs smoother than Ice Cream sandwich. Pinch and zoom is smoother. Flipping through apps is smoother. Opening folders are smoother on Windows phone.
This is common knowledge. They have done side by side tests and it runs smoother. Same with IOS.
Where Windows Phones get destroye...

It can compete very easily.
The challenges that Microsoft are doing are not CPU or GPU intensive and more related to how optimized the software is for daily tasks such as opening applications, booting up the phone and swiping between screens etc.
This is where the Windows Phone in most cases is faster and smoother because the software is better optimized than Android for its handsets.
This has always been a issue with Android phones. However I find my Galaxy Nexus runn...

Except they are short changing you on the actual hardware you are buying to the point of robbery.

Slowly the competition is catching on and catching up. One of the reasons Apple has gone on a massive Suing campaign.
They want to keep its current business model of charging high prices for mid level technology.
The competition is now making high end technology at less prices and slowly tweaking its user experience for the less "technical" inclined. ...

I wonder how much bribe money Apple spends yearly to these Judges to get these favourable results and insane patent allowances?

4438d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Apple always short changes on hardware specs besides the obvious technology that is seen. In other words, Displays and looks give the impression of high end hardware.
This is how they keep their high end margins.

Apple's formula:

(Mid level technology)*(charge high end prices)*(advertise it as if it were cutting edge technology to consumers who do not know better)= MASSIVE MARGINS.

Pure genius

Siri is a nice feature however it's a work in progress to the point it does not even work properly outside of the Untied States, moreover the more polished Google Voice works more accurately than Siri.

Now Siri is more "flashy" in certain ways in its responses but I find this ironic as the Apple slogan is:
"It just works"
Siri does not in most cases. It's still beta.
Voice has been out far longer and is more polished.
