RIM Is Not Ditching Physical Keyboards

PhoneScoop: Research In Motion today showed off the virtual QWERTY keyboard it is designing for BlackBerry 10. The keyboard involves better predictive software for word formation and even sentence formation. RIM CEO Thorsten Heins noted during the keynote that the company hopes to take some of these innovations and adapt them for use in its devices with physical keyboards. A RIM spokesperson on-site at the event also confirmed to Phone Scoop that RIM is not going to stop producing devices with physical keyboards, despite its focus during the keynote on virtual keyboards.
