I've got agree with you there. All the reviews I have seen so far don't look that good to me I was expecting a bit more and the price is a bit to hot for me.

Plus to get the full potential out of the HD 7970 you will need a new mobo with PCIe 3.0

I think ill wait for the new Nvidia cards. The Gtx 480 is still quite sufficient For 2011.

Its 20 percent quicker than a GTX580 overall. A jump, but not massive and there aren't too many games around that hurt 6970/GTX570 @ 1080p. I guess if you have to have the latest and greatest you'll get one. I never expected a big jump from AMD though, i expect to see a big boost from the next Nvidia cards and AMD to release a bunch of revised editions of these later too.

Pretty insane, was expecting at lot more, however drivers will come so it should get better.

Battlefield 3 is making this HD 7970 look terrible, barely better than GTX 580.

At VDKok, don't see the point in PCIE 3 at the moment, I just thinking is just BS to get people to purchase no Motherboards. Just look at this comparison

Looking forward to see what Kepler will be like, AMD get the drivers out.
