Apple to Provide iPhone Micro USB Adapter Europe

Gadgehit writes: "Back in 2009, the European Commission and major producers of mobile phones agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding (“MoU”) to harmonise chargers for data-enabled mobile phones sold in the EU. This essentially meant that phones sold after 2010 would have to use the micro USB connection as the charging port. Harmonised chargers are also expected to improve energy-efficiency, thus reducing energy consumption. Apple has cheated its way around the memorandum by revealing a micro USB adapter."
