Google‘s mobile operating system Android has now overtaken Nokia’s Symbian, according to a survey conducted by the research firm Canalys. The study shows that Android has increased its global market share from 10 to 35 percent, during the last year.
In the same period, the former market leader Symbian, has fallen from 45 percent to 26 percent. Android has also overtaken Apple’s iOS, whose market share is now 19 percent.

Growth is good, but I'm pretty sure that when you have a million different devices using one operating system you should have way more than 2x the market share of 1 phone platform using a single operating system.
