Samsung Rolls Out a Pair of 4K Displays Supporting AMD FreeSync

Maximum PC: Samsung on Monday announced a couple of new 4K (UHD) monitors with AMD FreeSync support. They include the 23.6-inch U24E590D and 28-inch U28E590D. Though they both boast a 4K resolution and AMD FreeSync capabilities, there are some key differences other than just display size.

This opens the floodgates. Good move all around, maybe even Nvidia's bottom line. People with Freesync monitors will now at least consider Big Green's cards.

I use Nvidia's GPUs with my freesync monitor, I just miss out on using freesync, can't be helped though, I intended to use only AMD cards but wasn't happy with them so I jumped. Knowing what I know now, I would have bought the G-Sync equivalent instead or just not worried about variable refresh rates.
