Maximum PC: It was in 1995 that Asus introduced its first graphics card, and to celebrate 20 years of graphics card production, Asus is releasing a limited edition 20th Anniversary Golden Edition GTX 980 that it claims is the fastest of its kind. How fast? Asus cranked the GPU to 1,431MHz, up from Nvidia's reference specification of 1,126MHz. It's even higher than Nvidia's 1,216MHz reference boost clockspeed.
