This telemetry data will play a big role in the way Windows evolves as Microsoft will be able to make much needed changes at a much faster pace and have a much better understating of what users actually need. This is a great way for them to ensure the best quality experience from a UI and technical perspective of Windows going forward. Having a large amount of data will really help Microsoft to troubleshoot the OS more effectively.
And, for once, some of what it can do looks genuinely useful.
