Microsoft and Canon have entered a cross patent sharing agreement. This new deal, according to Microsoft covers “certain digital imaging and mobile consumers products”. There is a good possibility that future Pureview Windows Phone handsets will get a big camera tech boost. These two firms have worked together in the past on certain R&D projects, and are looking now to benefit from sharing patents with one another.
The Nvidia Broadcast app attempts to mimic eye contact with the camera. Nvidia has updated its video conferencing software, making it the newest business to address the issue of maintaining eye contact during video conferences.
