Samsung Galaxy S4 Announced

NRM: "Samsung have unveiled the Galaxy S4, their next generation smartphone at the 'UNPACKED' event. Titled the 'Life Companion,' it brings a new set of features to the table. Kind of unexciting, to be perfectly honest. Better innards and a couple of gimmicky new pieces of software.

I think we may be hitting a plateau in mobile phone innovation at this point, whether it's Apple calling a slightly larger screen "revolutionary" or Samsung pushing hardware that no apps really require in the first place.

For once hardware is ahead of what the software requires, especially in the case of each flagship mobile be it Sony, Samsung, HTC or Apple.

My S2 is 2 years old and I still havn't found any real limitations with it. I'll no doubt be upgrading soon but it's simply because I have a contract and I may as well pay the same price but have a new phone to go with it.

If Sony continue to innovate their smartphone range then I can see Apple and Samsung having serious competition by 2014.

I agree. The Xperia Z looks like a beat.

Wow Sony fanboys have even broken over to techspy. Lets be honest guys Sony aren't even competitive in the smartphone space.

They can't even compete with RIM and HTC, both of which can't compete with Apple and Samsung.

Chill out man, Sony just started their mobile business, they bought Ericsson last year.

also, you need to look at the Xperia Z. premium looking device with high-end specs. something you can't say about the S4 (design wise)

Xperia Z certainly is a step in the right direction but screen wise, it isn't on par with the S4 or One. Also for a 13mp camera, the pictures it takes look pretty bad next to say the Iphone 5.

And people complain to apple with no innovation and those phone nuts are going crazy for this?
Hahaha the irony. I don't understand you phone elitest.

Yea the hypocrisy runs strong here, it's definitely one sided...

What is it with people calling others fanboys for liking certain products.

Were I to say this, Apple owners seem to be the biggest sheep there are.

The Samsung/lg range has always been good in both tv/phone.

Sony has been known as the T.v company, but a lot of the their TV's are not as good as some others, When it was sony erricson, the phones were horrid, But the xerpia z Could help change it, but the sound on the device is poor and the viewing angle is as well.
