My Tech Update - Lava mobiles yesterday launched Iris 504Q+ smartphone which is successor to it’s Iris 504Q smartphone launched last year. With the launch of this smartphone Lava has added one more device to it’s long lineup of quad core smartphones. Company has pegged the price of Iris 504Q+ at INR 13,999 which is somewhat over and above what competition is charging for these features. Apart from these features Iris 504Q+ is pleasing to look at and is quite sleek as well.
My Tech Update - It seems Motorola is quite fond of latest Android version Kitkat and is keen to update all of it’s smartphone line up with it. The standard single SIM Moto G had already recieved Android Kitkat update, however the Dual SIM version still had Jelly Bean. A Malaysian blog has reported that the Dual SIM Moto G has started getting the much awaited Android Kitkat update. The build version of the new update is 171.44.31.en.03 while the download size if 230.7 MB to be precise. Although Motorola has not officially declared the Kitkat update for Dual SIM Moto G but it seems the update will soon be rolled out worldwide.
Maximum PC: A quick visit to Google's Developers Dashboard for Android reveals that mobile device makers and wireless carriers alike are dragging their collective feet when it comes to embracing Android 4.4 KitKat. After three months, KitKat has inched its way onto 1.4 percent of all Android devices, barely edging out Android 2.2 Froyo, which claims a 1.3 percent share of the market. Meanwhile, Jelly Bean (Android 4.1.x to 4.3) is picking up most of the slack with a 59.1 percent share.
