Extremetech: Single-handedly resurrecting its own iPhone Lite/Mini rumors from a couple of years ago, the Wall Street Journal is reporting that according to “people briefed on the matter” that Apple is working on a lower-end, cheaper iPhone in an attempt to regain the stranglehold it once had on the smartphone market.

I expect Apple to start to change there stance on there Phones and Tablets soon as once Windows 8 starts to ship its RT and Pro versions of the OS over the next 12 months and Android gets its new devices out to it again will start to hurt the Ipad sales as the other two offer more and can replace a laptop or desktop pc for home users.
I am now fan of Apple but I do hope that Apple, Google and Microsoft all get a good share in the market rather than one dominating them all as this keeps them all on there toes and offering us the best experiences from all 3 platforms rather than just seeing half assed updates every year.
