Sure you can find the option to bring it back under Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Menu > Activate Desktop Mode
Why should someone just give up on 8 when it still performs better ? As long as the customer can avpod the metro menu if he want , not like there is another issue to complain about .
I had to get W8 cause my HDD fragged, and it was cheaper then W7. And it is a little odd to get the hang of. But I don't think it is the bane of computers, or it will destroy PC gaming as Gabe Newell said it would.
It's alright, and I can see how they wanted to unify the PC with the Smartphone and Tablet market.
People will still complain. Its the nature of the beast.

Just go back to Windows 7, the Metro design belongs on a smartphone, it should never have made it's way on to the 360 or PCs.
*shrugs*
