TechCrunch : Statistics released yesterday (link via Google Translate) by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) show that as of the end of November 2012, there were 1.104 billion mobile phone users in that country, an increase of nearly 118 million people during the first eleven months of 2012.
well idiot maybe because canada and US have same Culture.and no canada doesn't have smaller economy than US in fact their economy is better than US. and their population only 35M when US have 10x bigger than that
Economic size isn't the same as economic health. I don't know if it's true (I'm not exactly an economist), but FallenAngel is clearly suggesting that Canada has a healthier economy due to a smaller burden of population.
You must be fucking high, Americas economy is 15 times as large as canada..... the GDP per captia is only so high because the only have 3 35 million people, and they are blessed with natural resources.
First let me say this, there is no doubt china is rising and will be come a super power, if it isn't already their. But...
To say that they are going to become THE super power or take over the world isn't correct. They do have a plethora of problems, they are becoming a economic power house and do look to overtake the u.s. evonomically but everything I read, says a few things. First china has a severe water issue, had sixth of the world population but only a tiny fraction of the fresh water resources, this will only get worse as the population becomes more advanced. Secondly they have a big age/pop gap that to sum up many say will cause them to "grow old before rich" meaning their labor shortage will increase and they'll have to take care of that aging pop. Finally as chinas people become more economically well off and stop having to worry about bread and water and think social and civil rights, revolution tends to occur. This is true of all history.
There are more things i could point to such as alleys and values and things like innovation or military might (11 u.s. carriers to chinas 1) but these are just a few. Yes china will become a super power but it will just be one of a few (u.s. china India). It's these kinds of issues that will keep china from being THE power, instead it'll be a three way team, again us, china, India....and still others say u.s. will remain first among equals. China will rise but it doesn't mean the downfall of the u.s. like some claim.
