This means, now the screen of your Windows 7 enabled device can be upgraded to touch-enabled surface which enhances the experience of latest Windows 8 platform. why would i attach that to the side of my laptop, just so i could touch? that just seems silly..

If I want crappy touch controls I'll use an tablet/phone.
I wish Microsoft would stop trying to mess around with the PC. I don't want to have to download a mod so that I can have the start button back. It just seems they are trying to make it difficult for people who have been familiar with windows for 20 years and trying to pull in all the facebook game playing losers. Windows 8 is a piece of junk and I hope it fails miserably.

They spent billions with their buddy Intel to kill off netbooks (read 1 and 2) and look like knights in shining armor here to make ultra portable high end computing possible. They won't let it fail.
