Google Confirms 32GB Nexus 7, Unveils Nexus 10 Tablet and Nexus 4 Smartphone

Maximum PC: Talk about a busy month. Microsoft last week launched its Windows 8 operating system and Surface RT tablet to the general public, Apple released an iPad mini just a few days ago, and now Google is getting in on the media frenzy by announcing new and improved Nexus devices. Probably the biggest news of the day from Google is the introduction of the Nexus 10, a 10-inch Android tablet that might finally be able to supplant the iPad in popularity.

Was hoping they would hit that $299 price point.

AngryEnglish4195d ago

Why would they hit $299 when they have a Nexus 7 variant at $299, it would just cannibal the sales of that

hard joe4195d ago

isn't nexus 7 sold at $199 and $249?

Nice. Now I have to decide on which machine to go with...

SilentNegotiator4195d ago (Edited 4195d ago )

Interesting. No one is freaking out and attacking them for simply releasing new models. Why, just a week or so ago, they released a new model and everyone freaked out and said they didn't innovate and Android tablets are just big android phones and sucked and....oh, never mind....I thought it was a different corporation for a minute. I'm sure I'll be told why there's zero room for preference and it's a scientific fact why Nexus 10 is better than any other such device.

Anyway, I hope I can snag a Nexus 7 8GB on discount, then.

I read that twice. Almost 3 times.
Still pretty much have no idea what you said...
You should re-read your comments out loud and make sure they make sense cause that really made absolutely none.

SilentNegotiator4195d ago (Edited 4195d ago )

Of course it didn't; I pointed out the extreme discrepancy in the way the techspy community reacts to something related to Apple and something related to Samsung. That would never make sense to the techspy community.

Study the differences REALLY HARD between this article's comment section and this one's: techspy.com/news/1107178/ipad- mini-announced

They announced a 7 inch iPad and the comments section flooded with attacks on them for "not innovating", iPads simply being "large iPods" (pretty much equally true of android devices), etc.

Uhhmmm. Apple user I know are doing the same thing and they bitching about the fast turnaround on a machine they bought earlier in the year as well.
