No, get it right. He was a good business man. On a personal level, most agree when its said that he was a pompous prick.

'It's in Apple's DNA that technology alone is not enough'

'It's technology married with liberal arts, married with the humanities, that yields us the result that makes our heart sing and nowhere is that more true than in these post-PC devices.'

He is one hell of man to beat. The Western world has created such geniuses.

I thought Steve Jobs was just a good sales man? What did he innovate? *facepalm* Everything they did came about because of an idea from someone else. Where were the patent trolls then?
thebudgetgamer  +   231d ago
He did take things no one was thinking about and turned them into household names.
The patent trolls were Microsoft, remember when they shut down the home-brew community?
evil_element  +   231d ago
@thebudgetgamer: Too true.

@Racer-X You know everyone owes a great deal to Mr Jobs. Without Jobs the mouse, GUI, fonts, icons, folders e.t.c wouldn't exist. The mouse and GUI were very primitive at Xerox so much so that they were binned as nothing more than gimmicky rubbish that was worthless. That's how it stayed till Jobs asked and sold shares of Apple to gain access to Xerox creative thinking area.

Mind back in the 70's command line entry was the only user experience which was available.

I agree what you say about Jobs what he did for Apple the 2nd time was amazing but it was Microsoft and more Bill Gates that Saved Apple in the 1st place so all the people who like to Slag MS off they were the company who saved apple and gave Apple the chance for Jobs to make the company what it is.

I am not an Apple fan but I have a lot of respect for Steve and what he did and it should be interesting to see what happens to them now that Steve is no longer running the company.

RIP Steve Jobs
