Toshiba to Build Solar Plants in Disaster-Hit Fukushima

Gadgehit.com writes: "Toshiba has annuonced it will begin building solar plants on Japan’s disaster-hit coastline in Fukushima. The plants will generate approximately 100 megawatts of electricity capable of powering around 30,000 homes, making it the biggest solar project in Japan. It will cost Toshiba 30 billion yen to create several large solar plants in Minami Soma, with building to begin this year and operations to begin in 2014." (Culture, Hi-tech, Industry, Toshiba)
