Maximum PC: Forget about the usual New Year's resolutions to lose weight, eat healthier, exercise more, and all those other promises that fizzle out by February. A vow we can all keep is to practice better PC security habits, and it starts with picking out passwords that aren't incredibly easy to guess. Need some help? Just have a look at a list of the worst passwords of 2012, as compiled by SplashData.
Every year, SplashData analyzes leaked passwords and this year, like every year, proves people suck at password management.
Maximum PC: Disney's Star Wars: The Force Awakens proved to be box office hit with nearly $1.9 billion in worldwide ticket sales and counting since releasing generally on December 18, 2015 (there were limited viewings in select theaters a day before). That's impressive, the same of which can't be said for the passwords fans of the franchise are using.
Maximum PC: Dark Helmit warned viewers way back in 1987 that 1-2-3-4-5 is the kind of combination only an idiot would have on his luggage, yet nearly three decades later, it ranks number three on SplashData's list of the 25 worst passwords of 2014, which takes into account the most commonly used combinations from 3.3 million leaked passwords last year. In 2013, it ranked number 20.
Lastpass, google it.
