Sounds awful.

BTW...."Floppy organ". Oh my.

That is NOT your place, Google.

Yeah...that's definitely not a welcomed change.

Keep dreaming.

After over a decade of 30fps being the dominant framerate on consoles, it's either time to get over it or stop pretending to care in comments typed up on your expensive PC rig.

...and just as hungry for the rise of subscription models because it gives them more power over the consumer. Their evil empiring is not in the past.

I've always wanted to get into Linux, but then I always remember that all of the software that I need for school and work uses Windows and I can't be bothered to dual boot an extra OS when the one does everything I need.

Ultimately, I just wish that Microsoft had some real competition in the OS arena and I like the idea of an OS with as many options as Linux. And I want something not tied to overpriced hardware.

They would if they could.

You must be really upset that your ancient electronics won't be supported anymore.

"When the conveniences of expandable memory and replaceable battery don't sustain a consistent profit"
lol! Riiiiiight, that's one and only reason that people don't use the exact same phone/computer for decades....

Greenpeace doesn't measure human rights.

And their products might be overpriced, but they're still more efficient than most. I doubt that you would find yourself happy with the business practices of most computer manufacturers if you actually looked into them.

"Oculus has focused development on high end Windows PC's with consistent components. That also pushes laptop users out of the running"

We're talking about a lot less than 90% of PC gamers.

Limiting their audience further to get the product out on store shelves in 2062 instead of 2063.

GG, Oculus.

As it says in the article, that's where they paid the writer to visit, but they have production plants all over, including China.

I'm sure Apple's new US plant will be just as dolled up and press-proof compared to the trashy factories that they use in China, same as Samsung.

You're joking, right? Many Samsung phones are made in China.

And heeeeere we go; your variants of the "free" OS, everyone.

Can't wait to see how much the OEM will be.

I didn't think that I was being unclear with my second comment, but no, not talking about the OS itself.

Microsoft receives a grand total of zero benefit from making their OS free and not changing some part of their model; anyone that needs Office 365 probably already has windows or is at least acclimated with Windows and will continue to use windows. They already have 90% of the computer OS market. The OS is NOT the barrier that's making people not buy so many comp...
