Nexus 4 owners, don't lose hope. Though your 2012 Google phone was cruelly looked over for the developer preview builds of Android L (along with everything that wasn't a Nexus 7 2013 or Nexus 5), sharp-eyed Google+ users have spotted two different Google employees posting on the Chromium section of code.google.com claiming to use the Nexus 4 with Android L

"Earlier today, an LG representative said something similar when he stated that the LG G3 flagship smartphone will receive Android Lollipop by the end of the year. The representative didn’t offer any further details so we’ll have to wait until LG makes an official announcement before we can learn the specific release date."
G3 is LG's flagship so it's obvious that it would get the lollipop treatment sooner or later.
My Tech Update - So finally the latest version of Android operating system is here and most of us are wondering if our own device is going to receive it or not? If you are lucky enough to lay your hands on latest Nexus device then you will get the Android Lollipop pre-installed on them.
To be honest, I would have been more than surprised to see google ditching the second latest Nexus phone. But thanks for the headsup anyway. :)
Won't Android L be launched with a new Nexus, making the 4 the third latest?
Definitely a new Nexus tablet (Nexus 9), but I'm hoping they'll hold off on releasing a new Nexus phone until there's a 64-bit chip available - probably a Snapdragon 810 (early 2015) unless something unexpected happens like Google chooses an Intel chip or Nvidia reveals they have a version of Tegra K1 that can work with a phone-sized battery and much more limited heat dissipation.
Nexus devices aren't just "developer phones" any more, that's why the developer settings menu is now hidden by default.
Yes, it's possible that someome has said I wish my Nexus 5 was faster. But I damn sure know some people have said I wish my Nexus 5 had a better camera and a better battery.
