Call me what ever you want

Everyone I know that's tried Windows 8 thinks Metro is terrible and we need an option to remove it.
Its intended for Tablets and Phones, PC users want the proper desktop which is far more efficient and clean

I haven't tried the latest build but I did try the developers months ago and found it horrid.

If there is no justified reason to upgrade to Windows 8 then its just a re-skinned Windows 7 that sup...

Did not like the reference HD 5000 cards, HD 6000 and 7000 look badass though.

Great performance but I'm having to say with Nvidia for now, invested to much into them, with 3D Vision and PhysX :)

Bring on Kepler, competition is great

Single GPU king is now HD 7970, second GTX 580 but HD 7950 could kick it off when its out in February.

Dual GPU king still HD 6990 then GTX 590 :)

GPUs:
* AMD is less than 1 week from Southern Islands launch
* Nvidia is less than 6 months from Kepler launch

CPUs:
* Intel is less than 3 months from Ivybridge launch
* AMD is less than 6 months from Piledriver launch

I get what the article is saying, PC is getting G*MPed but Mods and tweeks get released all the time, just look at GTA and Skyrim

Pretty insane, was expecting at lot more, however drivers will come so it should get better.

Battlefield 3 is making this HD 7970 look terrible, barely better than GTX 580.

At VDKok, don't see the point in PCIE 3 at the moment, I just thinking is just BS to get people to purchase no Motherboards. Just look at this comparison

Well I have GTX 460 SLi, if I max it out with Post AA and 4xMSAA its game over.

Maxed out with no AA I'm getting around mid 70s

Crysis is no longer the benchmark really, can be played on mid-range systems. All you need is a good GPU around £150 such as GTX 560

The real test is on games that require £300 GPUs like Battlefield 3.

And I thought the standard Apple design was bad.

Having physical cores is better than Hyper-Threading.
However these Bulldozers are not that good, I've seen the benchmarks plus the pricing says a lot.

Even though this was removed whether its fake or real

(Personally I think AMD told SiSoftware to remove them)

If these result ...

Its not as great as the article says, like someone in the comments said 3 PC maximum and not for a long time either.

Its a uninterrupted power supple that's it.

To be honest anybody using IE missing the beauty of browsers.

If you really like IE then please use IE8 or 9 earlier verses are just poo, worst part is I've been to companies that still use IE5, IE6 and people still on early version of FF.

Please help these people.

Why would you.

Guys there is a hack on Windows to increase your memory so it exceeds Windows 32bit limitation.

All you need to do is drop in a file that is found on Windows 64bit OSs or Windows Server OSs

Its basically like a 38bit extension.

I have 8GB DDR2 1066MHz.
I've disabled page files because they slow your system down.
I've got rid of services that I know I'll never use.
I've disabled many items from the start...

Well the GTX 560 is clocked slightly higher, so that would explain the slight faster part.

They may have played around the power delivery to bring down the power consumption a bit.

As for heat and noise, just slap on a better cooler with a better thermal paste, that would show an improvement in temperature, this also will make it less nosier.

There is a difference between GTX 460 1GB and GTX 560 Ti

Its a non issue, I'm with AMD but Intel has rarely had any issues only major one I can think of Sandybridge chipsets but they have been fixed this with the B3 revision.

GTX 560 and GTX 460 1GB version are the same.

Check out the specs for yourself

GF100 - GF110 was a revision
GF104 - GF114 was not a revision, the same goes for GF116 and GF118

The only real new edition is the GF119 which is the value/HTPC card - GT 520 and even that is questionable.

@ zero_cool

Get over it, I've already showed you how aged the technology is in the Cell project.

IBM with 3 Cell BE can not Ray Trace above 10FPS
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Looks like a slide-show.

Nvidia with 1 Fermi can Ray Trace lag free meaning 24FPS or >

Yep Quantum Processors will most likely be the last step, then who knows the end of the digital revolution?

@ Perkel

Have to disagree, SoC has been on the cards of all processor designers, IBM would of kept it quiet and Intel has been at Larrebee for years, defiantly long enough before everyone even knew Cell excited.

Just because both processors share some traits does not mean that they was inspired by the Cells design.

2 Cells would of failed in any circumstances, the reason for this is that the Cell can not do Pixel shading, Geometry shading plu...

Not so much of a big deal really, IBM has all but dropped the Cell project and Sony does not have the resource to developer it.

IBM have developed two different version of the same chip plus done a couple of die shrinks, that's it really, Sony was not the architects/designers in this partnership, they just helped to fund it.

Sony will most likely run with the Cell till PS4 and then there is no guaranty of it being there even for BC.

Not s...
