I'm not sure if their date is accurate, but the argument is compelling and I suspect it will be pretty close. I guess the next questions is, will there be an iPhone 7 by then?
I think it is unlikely, but I would love to see Apple announce a game console. Like a Ouya style thing using MFi controllers and your HD TV.

Descent point. I wonder then if they would build the microconsole into an actual screen. So, like buying an iMac, but you buy a 40" Retina screen with a microconsole built-in?
Surely Apple is going into the microconsole, or full Apple TV market, somewhere along the line.
