Yep, it works fine with Dragon Age 2 but says "Your connection appears to have slowed." when I try to play Crysis 2 or Bulletstorm, all EA games. You would think a 100MBit connection would be enough to handle it, apparently not.
Of course not! You need that special chip that... actually no you dont. But you need that crazy amount of processing power for... come to think of it the 2G could've probably handled that. But... no I got nothing.
It's simple, there is almost no incentive to buy the 4S other than Siri, you take that away, you take away 90% of the appeal for 4S.
Well, ARM CPU's were around for decades, being implemented almost exclusivly in embedded hardware. Routers and mostly PDAs, Phones and Smartphones. Now the leap to servers is pretty huge if you ask me. Also it's being used in the new PS Vita and the graphics are off the charts. Yes it's a handheld device but still, if they throw the power consumption concerns out the window they may produce a CPU that can handle contemporary processing needs for games. I'm not saying they shou...
The ARM architecture is now being used in servers, which is crazy, so using it in a console isn't that big of a stretch to be honest. The games on the mobile phones look better and better, and without tight constraints on power consumption an ARM processor could provide very high performance for games.
Despite the popularity of the 360 I think after the disaster that was the 360's hardware in it's first years, people will be hesitant to buy the "720" day one. That article I've read the other day, stating that people defend their purchases rather than brands, supports that.
I don't know if the assumptions the writer made regarding the CPU powering the "720" are based on any real information, but I think it would be funny if this turned out...
No, the Blade is a gaming Laptop, the Switchblade is a concept design of a small PC gaming device with no real classification.

And no, the Blade has not been released yet, it has been announced in August this year.
I see no reason why it shouldn't. It has a 1GHz processor and 512MB of ram after all, GPU aside, same specs as the Nexus S. The problem is the 512MB storage (~190 of which are available to the user after squeezing GB on it).
I do not know what the current situation is (Pretty much sold my soul to Samsung after getting my hands on a Galaxy S :P), but back when the N1 was released, HTC had a habit of putting miserably small internal storage into their phones. The sole reas...
The reason is storage space, plain and simple. ICS is approximatly twice the size of GB, and considering GB took 2/3 of N1s storage space it's simply not possible to make an official update. To update you would need an SD card, and not every N1 owner has one. Plus, if the SD card dies the whole phone is bricked, which is an even uglier stain on googles reputation than having no update at all.
I am certain the CyanogenMod devs will have ICS running on it by January.
The current development release already has a working 1 window mode.

But it could contain bugs in new and existing tools, so don't pass your judgement on it because everything broken here will probably be fixed in the stable version, which is scheduled for release at the end of the year.
Well if putting Android on phones is like peing your pants for warmth, putting Symbian on phones would be the equivalent to crapping down your throat to "recycle".
Symbian sucks even more than Windows Mobile 6, and yet they won't let that outdated crap die. They have a shot at an awesome mobile OS now, Meego, and what do they do? Downplay it and try everything they can to stall development so that the stinking turd that is Symbian still has room to breathe.
I would still use Firefox even if it would be the slowest browser around. The customization you can do on it is priceless, Chrome fails horribly in that regard (Yes I know you can have extensions in Chrome). Plus Chrome looks way too simplistic for my taste, I simply hate that look.
Firefox currently has a big problem with Flash on Ubuntu 10.04 (Using newest packages of both Flash and Firefox), almost every video crashes when switching from fullscreen to default size, and tha...
I could set up a Linux PC for 50 bucks (Cheapest prebuilt system I could find: DELL Precision 340 T P4 2,4GHz 512MB 40GB) it wouldn't meet their minimal specs but it would run lightning quick and stable. Browsing the web with flash, listen to music, watch movies. Don't expect 3D games but small games would definitely be possible.
Install Puppy Linux on that baby and you're good to go.
The Galaxy S is awesome, TouchWiz and the overall iPhone look sucks, but at least software wise the issue is easily solved by swapping the Home Screen and App Launcher. It's lighning quick and rumour has it Froyo will be available by August.
The SuperAMOLED screen is gorgeous, black is black, not greyish, the colours are bright and vibrant. Plus it can register an infinite number of pressure points, the program Dotty can demonstrate this, even though the program is capped...
Well, if a font makes the news I gotta try it...
Good lord, I just got my Galaxy S... TODAY, and they ALREADY have a successor announced? Unbelievable, I appreciate the the pace but it gets too fast.
This is not gonna be pretty, I remember when MS stopped support for 95/98, people were enraged.
I think people are setting themselves up for disappointment.
Gabe Newell just said Portal 2 will be coming to the PS3 and Steam will be part of it. As part of Portal 2, not PSN.
Of course you can interpret it in a way where Steam would tie into PS3 but seriously now, there are a lot of things that speak against it:
1. Steam is a service similar to PSN, meaning you can shop for games and use their social networking capabilities, why integrate ...
I know where you're coming from. I am usually open when it comes to brands. I wanted the HTC Desire but now I want the Samsung Galaxy S.
But honestly after seeing this:

I'm not so sure if I want a Motorola handset... but I wouldn't dismi...
Out of all the manufacturers, Motorola? Correct me if I'm wrong, but they have to slowest devices (in terms of tech specs) out of the 3 major manufacturers (HTC, Samsung, Motorola) for Android devices. Again correct me if I'm wrong, but AFAIK they still haven't announced a 1GHz phone.
Many iPhone owners I know will state how "proud" they are to own one, but I catch them complaining about it all the time and throwing jealous glimpses at my Galaxy S...
Which just shows they bought into the hype and keep that thing just because it's an Apple product.
They should call 911 and demand an Android phone.
