apple is a winner. for me the company is doing a great marketing job.
tablet devices have been on the market since around 2003... but just now we have a 'boom' for this kind of pcs.. just after the iPad release.
personally, I will wait for another bit before buying one of them. iPad is a bit heavy and screen resolution is low. android tablet isn't good enough yet, battery life in most devices isn't great. I think that 2011 year will be the year of tablet pcs. ...
we need more that kind of projects. it will pays off in the future.

mi-fi (for 3g connections) is a good choice. you can take your router (up to 5 users) wherever you want. works also on the battery and it is good enough.
safe or speed... speed of course... all of them are safe enough. by using chrome I don't see any security issue... so what's the deal... Microsoft should simplified IE and make it faster. then everyone could optimize it, as they like. just like competition... :D

have them all :D but it would be nice to have infrared in the android device. TV remote in your phone is a good idea. I had the infrared years ago in my old Nokia n73. wondering why they don't place it in the todays phones...
hard to say, but blu-ray is better if we are talking about the space. so that is the future. everything gets bigger. the average size of blu-ray movie is 15-30 GB that is a massive size. you can't fit it on DVD. we constantly need to search for bigger mass storage devices.

Sony cameras are very easy to upgrade ( lenses and lamps ). you can easily get used one, they are not that expensive and you can use the Konica Minolta one as well. a good lens might be even more expensive then the camera by its own. Sony is a wise choice.
when they see a 'bargain' word your credit card is in trouble :D - from experience... :D
if you are the extreme user you need constantly check the temperature, if your hardware is over-clocked, I would advise some thermometer and an extra fan :D....
