"If Amazon is concerned about the theft of packages, then why don't they have every package signed for by the customer, instead of being left outside on the porch."

Inconvenient and would likely just be another step to get to the same end. Like, if you have a full time job you likely won't be home when a mail person comes. So, you'll get a slip saying they missed you and give you the steps to obtain your package. Most people, who probably won't eit...

I disagree. All a fancy name does is confuse the consumer and make things more complex than it needs to be. A great example of this confusion concept is OSX.

Version 10.0: "Cheetah"
Version 10.1: "Puma"
Version 10.2: "Jaguar"
Version 10.3: "Panther"
Version 10.4: "Tiger"
Version 10.5: "Leopard"
Version 10.6: "Snow Leopard"
Version 10.7: "Lion&quo...

"but I think this whole "pirates ruin everything" stuff is total bs."

This.

I hate how almost every company defaults on "every pirated movie is a sale lost and every sale lost is money gone", when that simply isn't true.

A lot of people pirate these things as something to do and have no intention of ever buying the movie. While I am not exactly agreeing with that, a lot of these people might say the movie is...

This is sooooo true. + bubbles

@ Thezeldadoth

The article would get approved and probably hit 1,000 degrees, though the comment section would be talking about crazy nonsense. Like, the PS4 will reintroduce a premium model PS4 with OtherOS (running Windows and OSX if you like), backwards compatibility, 1 year of Plus, early access to PlayStation Now, 2 redesigned DualShock 4's, a Vita (slim line) and 16 gb memory card for $450 dollars, which makes it OBVIO...

There just isn't enough money in streaming for it to kill Blu Ray.

"Yes, you will fail at some of these things if not all of them. Nobody carries a pocket mirror, Map, Calculator, etc nowadays so Yes, you will fail at these unless you're already prepared. "

You're assuming people are too stupid to do very simple things.

Mirror? My car has several, I could just use one of those. Almost, if not all public bathrooms have a mirror in them. If you needed to use a mirror, you could easily figure out a solution i...

Just because they use that data to determine what to buy, doesn't mean they can afford or justify the cost of said item.

Take PS All-Stars Battle Royale for instance. The two most wanted characters before the title was even announced? Crash and Spyro. The two most often talked about, rumored and wanted characters before it released? Crash and Spyro. The most requested / demanded DLC characters till the DLC ended? Crash and Spyro. I think Sony was well aware how much it w...

This x100

I recently uploaded some gameplay form Kingdom Hearts 1.5 and every game has a theme song within the first 10 minutes (which is what I was uploading) and every video got nailed with a copyright issue. Now I don't mind giving the singer props, using my video to push more products (that happened with Rising), but I do mind when a 10+ minute long video gets muted because a minute or two happen to feature a song I am not allowed to use. To make matters worse, they r...

Indeed.

A lot of laws are very conditional and exist to protect the rights of the owner. Like if you don't like someone doing something with your character, then you're free to take legal action. However, if they don't care, then you're not some bad *** thug who avoided going to jail by not following the rules.

"You may not be alone but you're not the majority. When the article says Everyone or All, it means that everyone has done it at least one of these things once in their lifetime."

I would beg to differ and I would also argue that not everything listed here is exactly illegal.

Like a lot of ads are almost criminally intrusive, like viewing N4G on my iPhone sometimes resulted in me getting redirected and having my appsto...

@ Intiti0n

I think it's just the fact that people take simple data and compare them. Like if the new iPhone costs $200 and a $200 dollar Android phone has twice the ram, CPU, storage, gimmicky features (HDMI out, kick stand, Micro SD, S pen, 3D, Dual flash, higher MP cameras, etc), then it's not shocking to think you're getting a lesser product. This is especially true when a the iPhone probably has a lot of R&D costs / premium parts (metal back) that makes it...

For years I've heard that open source people wouldn't go into the darker areas if companies were open source to begin with. However, in any case where something was open sourced, I can recall people instantly working on getting piracy working asap. Ultimately a lot of the open source people cause the piracy to open and in some cases make their own problem....

While I don't think many people will agree with me...

There are plenty of cheap options to get around this "problem". Most if not all libraries have computers / internet and they can always stay after class to work on things that might require a computer. There is also the ability to go to a friends place and of course going without...

Whats the point of the phone with so many limitations. I mean in theory he would only get to use it maybe 5 hours a day and it ultimately makes the "contract" attached counter productive. Like if he can't take it to school, then he would need to return home to obtain said phone and from there he would need to remeet with friends to make practical use out of the phone...
