Eurogamer: PlayStation-certified Android tabs, anyone?
In October of last year, Sony announced that it would be buying out mobile partner Ericsson's stake in the joint venture founded by the two companies way back in 2001. Sony Ericsson - a major force in the world of mobile telecommunications - would become plain old Sony.
Pocket-Lint: Sony is moving its tablet devices into the Xperia mobile family, with a new model set for an IFA unveil this August.
Several slides detailing specs and price for the Xperia Sony Tablet were published on xda-developers.com and describe the tablet as being slim, made from aluminium and splashproof.
