Cheap, Ultrafast Broadband? Hong Kong Has It

Hong Kong residents can enjoy astoundingly fast broadband at an astoundingly low price. It became available last year, when a scrappy company called Hong Kong Broadband Network introduced a new option for its fiber-to-the-home service: a speed of 1,000 megabits a second — known as a “gig” — for less than $26 a month.

The story is too old to be commented.

I think the real reason we have crappy internet is because the average consumer has nothing to download. so piracy and etc is what they use highspeed internet for.

It will probably take another century before I will get that ultrafast broadband in place where I live. Is $26 a month much in China??

Maybe, I belive I read that the standard income for a Chinese person is like around $4,000 (USD). So yeah I could be alot, but if you just go by Hong Kong, it should be on par with other contries like around $40,000+(USD).
